Back in the the gym tonight, the first time since last Tuesday, it was strange being away for the week, but think we all enjoyed the break and now all systems go for the next four and a half weeks till Fight Night.
Tonights session was as always, pretty much non stop.
Starting with 4 x 3 minute round on bag work, with some pad work thrown in as well, this was followed by 4 x 2 minute rounds.
Next up we had some shadow boxing and pad work, getting coaching points on various points of everyones individual technique.
A small rest and then it was into pairs for some blocking and jabbing drills, which again has improved massively, not just with myself, but you can see all the guys moving, blocking, punching loads better, than even a few weeks ago.
A fast and furious 4 x 30 secs (10 secs rest) x 4 bag work finished us off.
With the promise of sparring and extra sparring to come over the next few weeks, you can tell its all getting closer and closer to Fight Night.
Speaking of which, loads of people have been asking me if I know who I'm fighting yet, or have I been trying to suss it out.
And to be honest I have tried not to think about it.
My outlook on the whole thing is, just worry about my own training, get myself as good as I can fitness and technique wise and let the other person worry about me.
I don't mean that in a 'I'm brilliant ' kind of way, but its hard enough focusing on my own technique, without focusing on someone else and I also know Ben is not going to put me against someone I can't beat or equally they could beat me, so a bit of a waste of time worrying myself about it.
Also I have no idea how I will be on the night, hopefully nerves won't affect me too much and I'll remember most of what I have learned, we shall wait and see.
Another pat of this special night is the fundraising we do for Teenage Cancer Trust, with this I have set up a donation page
http://www.justgiving.com/CraigLowe
If you can please spare anything you have and if you can forward or post this page on your facebook page, work Intranet or anywhere else you know, that would be a brilliant help
Craig :-)
